Edward Gorey Blue Aspic Matted Laser Cell In 1968 Edward Gorey created the Blue Aspic, An opera book without libretto or score, which portrays the tragedy of unrequited love set against the backdrop of an Opera company. This amazing Laser Cel features an image from the book, and an image of Edward Gorey's elegant signature. Laser Cels are a lithograph technology where the image is actually printed on industrial grade Mylar. Unlike traditional animation cels and paper; Mylar will not fade, chip, crack or deteriorate. Additionally, this synthetic is immune to heat, light and moisture. However, similar to its counterparts, images printed using this process still retain the same high quality and brilliant colors found in any animated cell. To complete the presentation and further define each piece as collectible, the Laser Cell print is mounted in a complimentary mat. Great care was taken to faithfully retain the qualities of the artwork, and this print was produced with the permission of the Edward Gorey Charitable Trust. The image has been printed on specially treated Mylar and matted with a buffered acid-free matboard. Matted dimensions are 8" by 10", and the image size is 5.625" by 7.625". Comes with a certificate of authenticity. |
